Washing Elizabeth's Hair.....

Hey! I first want to say- "Happy Memorial Day" and I hope ya'll have fun. My family and I are going camping so I may not post until later this week.

Anyways, I washed Elizabeth's hair! Her hair was very rough, dry, and tangly so yesterday, me and my friend Alex washed Kayla's Elizabeth doll! Here are some pics we took along the way.

Before (above)
Washing her hair...
After Washing.......
After... She looks so much better!
I'm very glad that I washed her hair, and now when I brush it, strands of hair aren't coming out freely and her hair is so shiny.

I looked at Liz's and Sarah's instructions for washing her hair.

Happy Memorial Day!

Re-Arranged My AG Room

Hey! Yippee! School is out!!!! But on another note, I re-arranged my AG room with my friend Alex. Photos below:
It has a very different layout from before and the Daybed creates a barrier between "rooms".
This is the bedroom area.
The top bunk has been converted into a place for the dogs. I know, a little high up but I didn't have anywhere else that I liked to put them.

Anyways, behind the daybed is the living/dining area.

I wanted to make a "poster wall" behind the table. I will hang some pictures up there later.
Do you like it better? Any suggestions? I would love to know!

Fairy Gardens and Pine Lake Camp!

Hi! This past weekend, my mom, my siblings, and I all made fairy gardens. What are fairy gardens? Look at these couple of pics:
Fairy Gardens are pots of dirt with small objects in them such as figurines, small plants, and tiny rocks or cracked tile. There's mine above.
They're very cool decorations for outside! Have you ever made a fairy garden? I'd love to know! Here's a shot of Kaya and me that I snapped:
Also, sorry for the lack of posting I've been very busy and haven't had time to upload photos, but you will a lot more soon! I'm also going to start Pine Lake Camp soon. If you have a fun photo of your doll(s) doing something camp-like (arts and crafts, hiking, or grilling/cooking etc.) please send it in via e-mail.

Thanks,
Gabby

Pretty as a Princess

Hey! So I recently finished my second assignment for the AGMA. The theme was fairytale/princess. It was definitely tricky so I had to try my hardest and very best to create a video that was full of pictures that I took that also followed along to the theme. I think it turned out pretty well! I made Rebecca into a Medieval Princess instead of using Elizabeth's meet dress like a lot of other girls did. Here are some of my favorite snapshots. However the one of the shoes did not make the video.
I hope you liked them!

Major Sale, Innerstar U, and AGMA

Hey! Guess what? American Girl is having an awesome sale!! They are selling many retired outfits and a couple of accessories too. If you haven't had the chance to pick up Chrissa's Party Treats from last year now's your chance! I'm thinking about ordering something- like a gift for a relative but I'm not so sure. I have $37 saved but not sure if I should spend it- what do you think I should do?

Anyways, I recently found out from Doll Diaries that American Girl is going to launch a virtual world this summer for girls and their dolls called Innerstar University. I think this is great but AG recently released Lanie to bring girls outside, but with this new game make girls be inside more? I think it's a cool idea though, and I probably will join when they release it.

I'm very excited that I made into the next round of the AGMA! The theme is fairytale/princess which will be very hard but I have the perfect outfit and I unique idea to match it so hopefully everything will turn out okay.

A Package in the Mail

Photos and Dolls by Gabby

It was a hot summer day, so finally Kirsten said, "Why don't we get some ice cream?"
"That's a really good idea! I want chocolate though!" Kaylen exclaimed.
"Count me in!" Kaya replied!
They were half way out the door when Kaylen tripped on a package. "Ohmigosh! Kaylen are you okay?" Kirsten excalimed! Kaylen just groaned.

"Here let me help you!" Kirsten said while reaching down to help her sister.
"Oh man! Do you need anything like an ice pack?" Kaya asked.
"Nah, I think I'm fine," she said having been helped up by Kirsten, "I wonder what I tripped over though!"
"That package down their!" Kirsten said pointing, "I wish Gabby would keep track of her stuff better."
"You know she can't! The package wasn't here this morning so she didn't have time to move- she's at school!" Kaya told her sisters.
"Oh, well let's bring it inside for her." Kaylen said.

Finally, when they all brought the package in, the sat down around it. "Okay well let's open it!" Kaylen exclaimed.
"What?" Kaya said, "We really shouldn't do it, I mean it's Gabby's!"
"Oh of course we should, Gabby would want is too!" Kirsten protested.
"Well, why then?" Kaya asked.
"Because Gabby would want use to make sure it wasn't a bomb!" Kaylen cut in.
"Really?" Kaya inquired.
"Yes." Kirsten and Kaylen both said.
"Whatever."
Then Kaylen got out the scissors and started cutting it.
"Okay, if it's a bomb- we run!" Kirsten told them.
But inside was not a bomb- but Gabby shoes she won in The Crazy Doll Lady's story contest!
"Ooh they're are so chic!" Kaylen said.
Just then I walked in.

"Uh, oh! You girls are going to get it!" Kaya said in a low whisper as I knelt down beside them. "Oh they're the shoes I won! Who want to try them on first?" I asked the girls.
"Oh I do!!!" Kaylen practically screamed.
"Okay," I told her, "But first let's give you the rockstar look!"
"Do you like?" Kaylen asked.

"Wow- that it so cute!" Kaya said.

I really did win the shoes and the are absolutely adorable. Thank you so much Crazy Doll Ladies!

New AG Find!

Hey! Today, while I was at Theater, my mom, dad, and brother went to my library's used book sale. Guess what they found!

Staying Home Alone!
This is the old American Girl Library Edition.
(sorry for the not-so-great pictures) Anyways, this book was published in 2002 by Pleasant Company. American Girl recently came out with a new version of this book:
I think this is a really cool find- considering that Pleasant Company books aren't very common. Have you ever found any Pleasant Company Books? I would love to know! I can't wait to start reading!
