New American Girl Books- Not Sold Yet! (CONTEST 6 POSTS BELOW!)

Hey girls! I was on Amazon.com today when I spotted an American Girl book that caught my eye- because it wasn't on the American Girl site yet! I then raced to the AG Bookseller site and was sweetly surprised to find a whole slew of new titles waiting to be released! Here are some of my favorites:

 A kit filled with accessories from all over the world? Their new Doll Travel book comes with a doll-sized duffel bag, a mini National Geographic map of Paris, and tons of stickers and accessories to create spots from cruises to theme parks! By Trula Magruder, available in March.

Making math fun? Perfect for a girl struggling in school! While Math + Fashion = Fun may be geared towards girls younger than me, I really think a lot of people will like it-my sister included-and I can't wait to see what kind of fashion-themed math puzzles AG comes up with! It's also part of a brand new InnerstarU series to help girls in school. By Aubre Andrus, available in June.

A new Vaudeville-themed AG mystery? Yes, please! In A Rebecca Mystery: The Crystal Ball, Rebecca finds a chilling note attached to one of Mr. Rossi's carrier pigeons and believes him and herself could be in danger. But only a trip to a fortune teller could solve the case! By Jacqueline Dembar Greene, available in March.

An InnerstarU book about a girl who makes videos? In Behind the Scene, readers can imagine themselves a girl who loves making videos and has created her best one for InnerstarU's video contest, but when she realizes something in her video might offend her friend, she second-guesses herself in entering. By Erin Falligant, available in March.

A self-esteem how-to book? Interesting, but I think this is very needed! A Smart Girl's Guide to Liking Herself—Even on the Bad Days includes tips on how to keep your self-esteem up and learning to be your best in any situation. I especially like the cover art- sometimes you need an umbrella on rainy days! By Laurie Zellinger, available in March.

Upcoming AG Books!

Hey! If you are bored this summer, why not pick up a good old AG book? (I just finished the Rebecca series!) In case none of the current titles interest you, how about some of the new books available later this year!

A Surprise Find! This book is a another Innerstar University Book where you decide the ending! In the book, you are a girl who has a hard time donating old items to InnerstarU's clothing drive. When your bracelet goes missing, can you find it?

AG is also releasing these Treasure Totes for each of the historical characters. Inside the tote, you will enter into the character's world, with a mini abridged book, paper dolls, crafts, and more!

Hey! I've said it before and I'll say it again until it sets in.

American Girl Does Not Make Sense.

It's just doesn't.

Okay so I'm overreacting.

Maybe.

Quite possibly.

But anywho, I feel the need to share with you some new, non-sensible American Girl info from AGDWikia and DollDiaries.

Example #1

I have just learned the AG will be releasing a special edition pack of the Felicity: An American Girl Adventure including bonus features and a digital copy next year.

Now why would you release a character's movie after she was retired? 

Example #2

American Girl will be marketing 3 new mysteries- 

A Bundle of Trouble: A Rebecca Mystery, by Kathryn Reiss.

The Silver Guitar: A Julie Mystery, by Kathryn Reiss. (love the tye-dye!)

Clue in the Castle Tower: A Samantha Mystery, by Sarah M. Buckey.

Now why would you release a book for a character that is already retired?

Justin Bieber's biography, Never Say Never, will be on the big screen in the 3-D. Why would you put that in 3-D if it's just a documentary?

Okay, so that really wasn't about AG, but it doesn't make sense.

Example #4

I AM GOING TO SEE HARRY POTTER AND THE DEATHLY HALLOWS PART 1 TOMORROW NIGHT!!!

Now what didn't make sense about that sentence was that I wrote the entire thing while holding the shift key- not using caps lock.

But yes, I am going to see HP7 tomorrow night.

I am very, deeply, enthusiastically, merrily, excited about this.

I should probably get off now.

Kanani, Liberty, and Michael!

Hey! After a long awaited week here is a juicy post full of: GOTY 2011 info, Liberty Jane Fall line, and Michael's American Girl Crafts and books!


First GOTY 2011 info-
I was looking for some info on Kanani last night and found that American Girl registered the trademark for Kanani last January. 
Which inspired me to create a fake photo of Kanani on what she might look like:

It's not very nice but I use MAG 49 and placed Asian eyes on her in an attempt to create an Asian face mold with medium skin. This isn't great but this is what I think of Kanani.


The Liberty Jane Fall line has finally come out with 3 outfits (still one to come)!
The first one (and my favorite) would have to be Sofia. An preppy Italian style outfit not listed on eBay- yet.

It's sooooo cute!

The next (and my second favorite) would have to be Paris Daydream. This is a twist on the summer in Paris Outfit but a whole lot more glamourous and it's available on eBay!

This is outfit is really cute and currently on eBay for $51.00. I am thinking of bidding.........

The third and my least favorite outfit is Oxford Square. To me, it has a sort of preppy look but it doesn't look designer and has no spark to it.

I  know many people disagree with me (this is on eBay for $61.00) but I feel that it doesn't have any flair.

Michael's Craft Store- Yesterday, we went to Michael's craft store, I took some pictures of many of the cool American Girl Crafts they have there. Check it out!

They had AG puffy Christmas stickers on sale for $.99! 

They also had InnerstarU books (big surprise there) but they only had 3 titles- Fork in the Trail, Braving the Lake, and a Girl's Best Friend. (Speaking of Fork in the Trail, I have a book review on that at my Book Reviews page.) They also had many, many AG products-

They even had Lanie Stacked Stickers (adorable!)

New Items From AG!

Hey! I love AG. It's kind of why I made this blog, but still, I love it even more because now they have:

• Amazing sales on non-retired and retired items.
• New Books!!!!!!!
• And Gwen's Meet Dress for sale- I want it!

Anyways, yes, they have new stuff! I'm very excited because I love more selection! Here it is:

Lanie's Nature Set for $54. WHAT???? $54? That is a lot for how much it includes!!!! OK, I'm sorry for my pricing comments but, you know, it is a lot for that much.... But- it is really cute although I'm not super excited about jeans with rain boots. However, the shirt is still just plain adorable with the little owl!

Kit's Play Scenes and Paper Dolls for $12.95. OK, I'm not going to freak out over this price because at leasts it's reasonable! Anyways it looks adorable!

The Puzzle of the Paper Daughter: A Julie Mystery for $6.95/$10.95. Oh yay! I love a good mystery! And Julie is one of my favorite Characters too!

Doll Parties for $19.95. I really like this book, I really do, but I just think it's kind of odd for a whole dedicated to making paper cakes and paper party things . And please don't get me wrong here, I like it, but it's just kind of weird.

New AG Find!

Hey! Today, while I was at Theater, my mom, dad, and brother went to my library's used book sale. Guess what they found!

Staying Home Alone!

This is the old American Girl Library Edition.

(sorry for the not-so-great pictures) Anyways, this book was published in 2002 by Pleasant Company. American Girl recently came out with a new version of this book:

I think this is a really cool find- considering that Pleasant Company books aren't very common. Have you ever found any Pleasant Company Books? I would love to know! I can't wait to start reading!

History Mysteries

Hey! Before Spring Break, I checked out these 2 books from the library. It turns out they were from American Girl! They are from a series called History Mysteries. The books are about 12 year old girls who are living in different areas and times in American History.

Betrayal at Cross Creek by Kathleen Ernst

12-year old Scottish immigrant, Elsbeth Munroe is caught up in the early Revolutionary War when some patriots start threatening her family to join their cause. Soon her cousins and her Grandfather (whom she lives with) marches off to join the Loyalists in the war while she is left to take care of her grandmother. It's up to Elsbeth to untangle her grandparents' puzzling past to find the real traitor. Could there really be a traitor in her midst?

This book is awesome and it really describes the trouble she faces.

Trouble at Fort La Pointe by Kathleen Ernst

12-year old Suzette is forced to leave in 2 different ways- Ojibwe and French. Her father, a French tradesmen has decided to stay with his family instead of trading furs in other ares in Canada. Having broken his contract, he must pay back his debt by winning the fur-trapping contests. But someone is sabotaging the contest and the blame falls on to Suzette's father. Can Suzette find the thief before its too late?

This book was really good! It helped me learn about Ojibwe culture and French trading in 1723.

They were both really good books- I don't know which one is my favorite! I would definetly recommend them!

Books and Souvenirs

Hey! I am so glad to be back home again! But I did love my vacation!

When we had to stop for 3 hours in the Dallas Airport we stopped in Hudson Booksellers. They had an awesome AG book shelf! (the biggest on I've seen since the AG Place)

This is the side. I was surprised to see they had Doll School!

They also sold Chrissa books.

They only sold books on new characters, like Rebecca and Lanie.

We didn't get any books because we already had enough souvenirs- speaking of souvenirs....

I got this adorable little backpack for AG dolls at this great giftshop. It was big and could hold all of my dolls' school things (shown above).

Hey! While reading some Doll Diary comments I came across an unusual comment about American Girl's bookseller sight. When I explored the sight I came across 3 new mystery books, pet packs, parent guides, JLY pet fun books, A Girl's Smart guides, and Do-It-Yourself books. All of them are available later on in the year. Here are some of the new, fun titles.
