New American Girl Store!

Hey everyone! I just wanted to let you know (thanks to Doll Diaries) that St. Louis is going to get an American Girl store! Above is a map that I made that showcases all of the current AG stores (in red dots), all of the planned stores (in green dots), and in purple dots are where I think there should be an AG Place!  The dotes may not be exact, but I worked really hard on it so I hope you like it. (Feel free to post it on your blog with your opinions of the AG Places, although please give me credit!) Do you agree with my purple dots? Where would you put an AG Place?

(I am temporally taking comment moderation of as I'm going camping for fall break, however the comment rules still apply. Happy Fall and God Bless!)

My Trip to the AG Place Denver!

Hey everyone! Here are some photos from the trip!
This is a very small store, but it was so cute and a great afternoon activity!

When you first walk in the front doors, they have what they consider a 'book section' with selves of books and mini dolls, this is one of them.

The Kanani section was very small, but they had this very cute Shave Ice Stand display! Also, there's a sign in the corner of the display that says that you can only purchase 3 Kanani dolls... Hmm....

They kept the MAG dolls in cases like these!

AG set up some many cute displays! I especially like this one.

Here's another one- again, adorable!

The new dining set looks very cute in this display!

Here's a Kanani sign that I took a picture of with. I know I look weird, but I had I stood up, my head would have been touching the top of the stand.... :-(

Then, on the other side of the store, is where they have the Historical Character items- like this cute school locker set for Julie!

I love Molly! I hope she won't be archived soon...

This is a great little set for Kaya! I love it, but unfortunately, I have no room for a teepee.

I love the little Josefina loom set!

Now, for the Creativi-Tees. This is such a great idea! Each of the T-shirts is $10. I purchased one! Here's how it works. First pick a shirt and a transfer (above).

Then, the AG Stylist places your tee on an iron thing.

She puts the transfer on the tee.

Then, she 'irons' it on!

Afterword, she takes the plastic off of the iron on, and it's done!

:-)

Here's a photo of all 3 of us! From left to right, Kayla, Quinn, and me!

I will post what I purchased later!

AG Place Anyone?

Hey girls! I am still coming over shock about the amazing Harry Potter movie I saw yesterday (I will post about that later) but I got over it enough to write this AG Place post.

I am over excited to visit the one in Denver! I am not sure when yet, so that's why I am not inviting any of you to come and meet me, is because I'm not even sure when I'll get to go!
So, here are some questions that I have for you, I would love, love, love if you would reply to me!

  • Have you ever been to the American Girl Place Denver? Did you enjoy it? What was your favorite part?
  • Have you ever been to any American Girl Place? Did you like it? What was your favorite part?
  • What did you get at an American Girl Place? Do you have any 'What I Got at the AG Place' or 'AG Place Tour' videos? Please leave me a link if you do, I would love to see them!

A New Gallery!

Hi everyone! Today, I will probably begin working on a summer design for this blog, so stay tuned for that. Anyways, let me talk to you about a new gallery!

As many of you know, last year I started the Dream Doll Gallery to gush about your favorite doll, but since then, I have wanted to replace that gallery with a newer one. (that's why I have stopped submissions into the Dream Doll Gallery). So, are you ready to know what the new Gallery is going to be about? Take a look at the picture to the side......
Yes, American Girl Places!!!
We all love visiting the special stores, and what better way to celebrate this awesome event by creating a gallery about it! Every AG Place (Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Kansas City, Los Angeles, Minneapolis, New York, Seattle, and Washington D.C.) will get a special section where girls can submit photos and small stories to share with the rest of the world! Here are the guidelines*:

  • You may only submit photos and story about ONE AG Place. So, for example, say you visited the Chicago and Atlanta stores, you can only choose one to be featured on my blog.
  • You can submit anywhere from 0-12 photos (they will meshed into a neat collage type-thing) and 1-5 sentences about your experience and what your purchased.
  • Please include the location of the AG Store and your first name or online user name.
  • This will be as safe as possible- you don't have to submit any photos with you in them or anything like that. :-)
  • There is a limit to each AG Place location though. Each store can have up to 5 experiences. (So, say you have visited the Chicago and Atlanta stores, and Chicago already has 5 people's experiences on it, please submit to the Atlanta section. This is just to make sure that the page isn't overloaded. Thanks!)
I think this will be a very fun and cool gallery! Feel free to start submitting your experiences! (However they will not be posted until tomorrow).
I hope you enjoy!

*These guidelines can change at any given time, with out cause or public announcement. Please look over them carefully.
PS. Also, you can vote on what I'm going to call this gallery with the poll on my sidebar- although vote quickly- it ends at midnight CT.

She said she hired girls like me everyday who love American Girl and I should come back when I'm 18. Well, that gives me an excuse to move to Minnesota!

An Update!!!

Hey! I'm sorry for not posting much- we are really busy lately. But, I hope to post some of my pics soon!

I'm in the process of making a t-shirt for my dolls using the Liberty Jane pattern I got for free. It's turning out pretty well and I'm thinking of adding a little touch to it once we're done............

I'm also really disappointed-- someone hacked into the AGMA YouTube account and deleted the whole account! I'm very upset about this as my sister and I entered! But, they created a new account so hopefully they will start the contest up again.

Guess what? I may go to Chicago this summer with my aunt and little cousin! I'm sooo happy because we will go to the AG Place there!!! I already have $53.10 saved up so I will be able to afford a doll in a few months. I also know which doll I will be getting(if I get a doll)- JLY 37! She is just darling!

I think I will name her either Katrina, Katriel (Kate for short), or Katherine. Which name do you like best? Which name do you think fits her? I would really appreciate your comments as I really can't decide! I may also just get some clothes and food sets instead of a doll. Which do you think I should get- clothes&accessories or a doll?

Thanks,
Gabby

Ideas for You and Your Doll!

Hey! A week ago I got an e-mail from a blog fan who asked the question: what can I do with my dolls? Well, for this girl and all the others out there, here's a list.

Mix and Match outfits! This is probably one of my favorite things to do! Layer tops, decorate accessories, and create looks for the weather. Visit americangirlfan.com for some great outfit ideas.
Go shopping! If you live by an AG Place, go for a special trip! Take photos, get your doll's hair done, and shop for great doll clothes!

Take pictures! Position your doll like she is doing something- baking cookies, typing an e-mail, or doing work at school. Or take your doll outside and make her look like a model!

Play school! This is one of my favorite activities to do with my dolls. I got plenty of supplies and ideas from the Doll School Kit from American Girl. Our dolls love to go to the little school my sister and I set up.

Hope you like these ideas!

Also- remember when I had my PJ giveaway? Well, the winner, Leah, has opened her blog called All Things American Girl. Her site is awesome- go check it out!

PS Does anyone know how to make a heart appear on the screen? Like when I do I Heart AG, I'd like there to be an actual heart instead of me spelling it out. Thanks!
