My Gift to You......

Hi! I have an obsession- well maybe it's more like a small addiction to something that I can't explain, but I can show you-

Photoshopping pictures of dolls and then putting pieces in photos. I know it's weird but it's a lot of fun! I have been hooked on it ever since I made my sister's header:

It truly is something I enjoy! It's fun to take pictures of dolls, scenes, items, furniture, and accessories and make it into something new. Just check out this one I made today:

I've learned a lot about photoshop through this and I can't wait to learn more. So I decided to celebrate my birthday (Dec. 15th) and Christmas by making any of you fellow bloggers a header for your blog like my sister's. I can use any AG website pic and regular photo (like the chalkboard and kitchen) to create a cute header. You can choose the dolls, outfits, accessories, theme, font, and layout! And it's free (All I ask is that you mention that I made your header in a post or something.)
Thanks,
~Gabby

Cyber Monday!

Hey everyone! I am so sorry, I would have let you know sooner but I didn't have time this morning to post so here it is. Today is Cyber Monday and AG has some awesome deals- 1/5 are sold out currently but there still are some great buys!

Like Addy's Ice Cream Set. It's on sale for half off and includes 11 pieces such as pretend pie and an ice cream maker!
And the Snow Gear! It used to be Chrissa's Snow Gear but now it's being re-sold at an amazing price- $16! This is one of my favorite sale items.
If you missed your chance last year, now you can pick up the Star Hoodie outfit (the old JLY outfit) for only $10- you save $14!
And last but not least, an American Girl Place Wristlet Set. It includes a a wristlet, doll tee, and a headband for you. But they best part is the price- only $6!

Do have any favorite sale items? Did you order anything? I would love to know!

Polls Results and Kayla's Blog!

Hey everyone! I just want to say that I'm really excited for Kanani- and it helps that everyone else voted to see what she will look like! And I'm here with the results.
Hmmm.....I think she will have black hair but it seems as if the majority disagrees with me! Oh well, we will just have to wait and see her.....
Definitely brown! I think that she would be cool with Hazel eyes, unfortunately Lanie and Rebecca (the newest HC) both have Hazel eyes, so she probably won't.
Of course medium skin, however it is very possible that she could have dark of light skin. It just depends how much of a Hawaiian she is.
Oh and I just noticed this, I spelt 'you' wrong.

Anyways, my sister Kayla, has a blog! She just started posting today and she is very proud of it. I also really enjoyed helping her- I created the header but she choose the color scheme and everything, you can visit her blog Forever American Girl.
Thanks,
Gabby

Happy Thanksgiving!

I just want to wish everyone a very Happy Thanksgiving! I also wanted to share with you a card I made on iPhoto. I used some pics I took today and put Felicity in the main section because she is the newest.
Let's give thanks to our friends, family, and most importantly our Lord.

An Interview with a Blogger: Doodledog!

Hey everyone! I hope you all are enjoying your weekend as much as I am- it's so nice here in Tennessee, but that isn't all that I have for you! Here is an interview with Doodledog, writer of A Girl and Her Dolls.

1. What got you started in blogging?

Well, first one of my friends had a blog, and then through comments I found a bunch of different blogs (like yours!) that I really liked, and finally I decided to start one of my own!
2. How many dolls do you have and what are their names?
I currently have three dolls, soon to be four. I have Felicity, Elizabeth, and a JLY named Amythest. I'm going to get Josefina soon.
3. When and how did you get your first doll?
Geez, I remember it like it was yesterday! Before I found out about doll blogs, another of my friends had Kit and Marisol and we would always play with them when I went over to her house. I wanted to buy one myself, and the ones on the American Girl website were too expensive, so I turned to eBay. I bid on a few dolls, but my favorite of them was Felicity. My mom and I sat by the computer, 5 seconds left, with our winning bid, and we won! Felicity arrived two days earlier than we expected.
4. Who is your favorite doll right now?
Out of my dolls (shh!) I'd have to say Amythest. Out of all of the American Girl dolls, I have to say Josefina.
5. If you went to the American Girl Place right now, what would you buy?
I would buy Josefina, the Pet Show Outfit, and the violin set. Those are my top three items out of the AG catalogue that I get (I swear, I think AG will still be sending me those when I'm eighty. "A great gift for you're great-grandchildren!")
6. Do you like making videos, taking pictures, or writing posts the most?
I like writing photostories. I love taking the pictures and then making up a storyline behind it, and then (me, being an aspiring author) writing them on my blog.

7. What are some of your favorite things (besides American Girl)?
I love the Warriors Series (don't know if you've heard of it) by Erin Hunter, Harry Potter (HOPEFULLY you know what that is). I love to read, write, sew, and crotchet.

So there you have it! Doodledog is trying to get at least 7 followers by the end of November- she only need 2 more! Go and follow her!

Giveaway Winner and HP7 Review!

Hey Everyone! I hope you all are having an amazing weekend and I know Katelyn will.
Because, she's the winner of my Holiday Giveaway! Katelyn was the 20th comment with everything- name, permission, and what her favorite part of the Holidays were, so she won! Katelyn please e-mail me at iheartamericangirl@gmail.com to claim your prize!
********************************************************
Now for the Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 review.

It was amazing. Epic. Superb. Exhilarating. Wonderful.
And I loved it!
This is by far the best Harry Potter movie yet with amazing filming and special effects. It remained very close to the book but some parts were cut out. I was a little disappointed because I though that the whole '2 part thing' would make sure every detail was in the movie. I guess not.

But I loved it anyways! This is at a tie with the Order of the Phoenix for favorite movie!
Harry (Daniel Radcliffe) and Hermione (Emma Watson) were phenomenal! Although my favorite movie characters still are Ron (Rupert Grint).
And Luna (Evanna Lynch).
Everything was spectacular.
Some of my favorite quotes:
"Of the whole world of ear-related humor you go for 'holey'?" Fred Weasley.
"Imagine if we were stuck as a great skinny prat for the rest of our lives!" Fred or George Weasley- I can't tell the difference.
"Will you stop being mad at Ron?" Harry Potter.
"I'm always mad at Ron," Hermione Granger.

I can't say anymore without giving it away but it is sad and exciting, funny and scary. Oh and get to your theater about an hour before showtime if you want good seats.
Enjoy your weekend,
Gabby

American Girl Does Not Make Sense

Hey! I've said it before and I'll say it again until it sets in.
American Girl Does Not Make Sense.
It's just doesn't.
Okay so I'm overreacting.
Maybe.
Quite possibly.

But anywho, I feel the need to share with you some new, non-sensible American Girl info from AGDWikia and DollDiaries.

Example #1
I have just learned the AG will be releasing a special edition pack of the Felicity: An American Girl Adventure including bonus features and a digital copy next year.
Now why would you release a character's movie after she was retired?

Example #2
American Girl will be marketing 3 new mysteries-
A Bundle of Trouble: A Rebecca Mystery, by Kathryn Reiss.
The Silver Guitar: A Julie Mystery, by Kathryn Reiss. (love the tye-dye!)
Clue in the Castle Tower: A Samantha Mystery, by Sarah M. Buckey.
Now why would you release a book for a character that is already retired?

Example #3
Justin Bieber's biography, Never Say Never, will be on the big screen in the 3-D. Why would you put that in 3-D if it's just a documentary?
Okay, so that really wasn't about AG, but it doesn't make sense.

Example #4
I AM GOING TO SEE HARRY POTTER AND THE DEATHLY HALLOWS PART 1 TOMORROW NIGHT!!!
Now what didn't make sense about that sentence was that I wrote the entire thing while holding the shift key- not using caps lock.
But yes, I am going to see HP7 tomorrow night.

I am very, deeply, enthusiastically, merrily, excited about this.
I should probably get off now.
Ta ta,
Gabby

Mondays *sigh*

Hey! Mondays. The worst day on the planet. Well, actually when you visit AmericanGirl.com on Mondays, your  day suddenly doesn't become that bad. There's lost of thing that change on Mondays such as-
Such as the sale! Unfortunately, there was no sale this week but just stay tuned for later.....
There's also a new weekly poll on InnerstarU and Fun for Girls.
And, in the Fall, there is always a new Girl of the Year journal or story chapter! I love reading these, especially with all the 'drama' of dolls. :P
But while looking at the American Girl's Online Shop, I noticed there were some changes with the Historical Dolls.....
Like Kaya! American girl has come up with this whole 'doodle and letter' thing. Very original but odd. Anyways, they've posed the dolls in their Holiday outfits.
And I just want to say the Felicity's gala gown is NOT her Holiday Gown! Her Holiday Gown is.
Duh.
Sorry.
Happy Monday!

My American Girl Wishlist 2010

Hey! I'm sorry for not posting regularly. I've been super busy with school but now, with the Holidays coming up, I hope I can do more posting.

My wishlists are always very big because my Birthday is December 15- 10 days before Christmas. I often decide what I'd like around October-November just so I'm ready. My AG wishlist this year hits an all time low of only 6 items, but with 3 I'd really like. I guess American Girl is losing it's touch- not surprising with the odd MAG commercial and their high prices.

But anyways, here it is!
My first outfit is the Ruby Ribbon Dress. It's $36 and comes with 5 pieces- a bit pricy but keep in mind that this is American Girl at Christmas.
Second, is Felicity's Riding Outfit*. I think this outfit is so adorable and really compliments Felicity's spunk and spirit.
Third on my list is Patriot*- Felicity's foal. I think she is so cute and Felicity and Kaya will enjoy having a horse.
The fourth item on my wishlist is the Cozy and Plaid Outfit*. I am a huge sucker for cute shoes and doll outfits are no exception!

Julie's Birthday Outfit is 5th on my list. I love this dress! I don't know why, but being a huge Julie fan and a lover of (some) 70s attire, I find this outfit suitable for Modern times too!
And last but not least, is the Travel Set. Although a but pricey at $28, it has beyond cute items and a very handy doll suitcase.

What's on you Christmas Wishlist?
~Gabby

PS The items marked with an '*' means they are the items that I really would like.

Kanani, Liberty, and Michael!

Hey! After a long awaited week here is a juicy post full of: GOTY 2011 info, Liberty Jane Fall line, and Michael's American Girl Crafts and books!

First GOTY 2011 info-
I was looking for some info on Kanani last night and found that American Girl registered the trademark for Kanani last January.
Which inspired me to create a fake photo of Kanani on what she might look like:
It's not very nice but I use MAG 49 and placed Asian eyes on her in an attempt to create an Asian face mold with medium skin. This isn't great but this is what I think of Kanani.

The Liberty Jane Fall line has finally come out with 3 outfits (still one to come)!
The first one (and my favorite) would have to be Sofia. An preppy Italian style outfit not listed on eBay- yet.

It's sooooo cute!
The next (and my second favorite) would have to be Paris Daydream. This is a twist on the summer in Paris Outfit but a whole lot more glamourous and it's available on eBay!
This is outfit is really cute and currently on eBay for $51.00. I am thinking of bidding.........
The third and my least favorite outfit is Oxford Square. To me, it has a sort of preppy look but it doesn't look designer and has no spark to it.
I  know many people disagree with me (this is on eBay for $61.00) but I feel that it doesn't have any flair.

Michael's Craft Store- Yesterday, we went to Michael's craft store, I took some pictures of many of the cool American Girl Crafts they have there. Check it out!
They had AG puffy Christmas stickers on sale for $.99!
They also had InnerstarU books (big surprise there) but they only had 3 titles- Fork in the Trail, Braving the Lake, and a Girl's Best Friend. (Speaking of Fork in the Trail, I have a book review on that at my Book Reviews page.) They also had many, many AG products-

They even had Lanie Stacked Stickers (adorable!)
But I think my favorite picture of yesterday was this one-
