New Meet Outfit?

Hey! This is a fun post mostly because I'm telling you about the new American Girl meet outfit! I may be a little critical in this post mainly because it's okay....
So anyways, here's the photo: (from dolldiaries.com)
What do you think? I like it but isn't AG supposed to make outfits on what girls wear now? I've never see anyone step out in capris with a tunic and purple ballet flats. Speaking of ballet flats- doesn't it seem like every outfit AG comes out with now has ballet flats? There's nothing wrong with it but you know, couldn't they try tennis shoes! I also think that it's not very original and looks like something a 5-year-old would wear than say our age would wear. But I have to say that I love the capris! They are adorable and could mix-and-match with so many different things!

Okay so maybe that was a lot more than a little critical but I couldn't help myself- there's a lot of things a I want to say.

Do you like the new blog title? I love it, the pic is from the 4th AGMA assignment.

Thanks,
Gabby

Shine On Now?

Hey! Guess what came in the mail yesterday? My Summer issue of American Girl Magazine! I loved this issue but what was more surprising was what came out of it....

So I was guessing this had something to do with Innerstar University. Turns out I was right-
I thought Awesome! AG is actually doing something to help others! So I go to the website. Guess what I see? The webpage isn't finished yet!
This is kind of weird. It's not like AG to not have a webpage finished yet... Hmmmm......

Oh well, there's a first time for everything!

Ta-Ta,
Gabby

Guess what?

Hey! Well this post is just full of surprises! Believe me, it is.

First, I just want to say that I got the part the big part in the play I was auditioning for!

Second, tomorrow my younger cousin, Lily, is getting her first AG doll- Kit. Her birthday is today but, the doll won't come until tomorrow! I'm so happy for her- she has no clue! Happy Birthday!

Third, I took Kirsten's hair down! Ahhhhhhh! Yes, it's true and let me explain why. See I made it into the AGPR finale and the theme is Red Carpet. I decided to make a dress and start fitting it on Kirsten and pinning it until I realized that there was no going back- the dress was already fitted on the doll and I could either, un-do it and put it on a doll with her hair already down and fixed and risk messing the dress up or just let down Kirsten's hair. I want to get good points (come on- this is the finale! I could win it all.....) but I was afraid having Kirsten's hair up in a traditional way would ruin it but I have no regrets! Kirsten looks adorable! Here are some pics (with a sneak peek of the dress)

Doesn't she looks so cute?! :-)

Please enter my giveaway below- it ends Next Wednesday.

Beaded Blessings

Hey! This past weekend my mom, Kayla, and I went to the Beaded Blessing Project at the same place where ThreadFest was. I brought Kirsten (Kayla brought Rebecca) and we went and sewed away! The idea was to create little bags to put prayers in but I think my project (even if it isn't a bag) speaks for itself! check out the pics below. :-)
An adventure by the beads!

Fabric samples

We had so much fun!

What I Ordered From AG.....

Hey! I hope ya'll like my new blog design! It's taking some getting used to but I think it's a lot better than before.

Now, you probably already know what I ordered from American Girl but I will do a review and show pictures of it anyways! :-)

This dress is so cute! On AG it's listed as Eyelet Sundress for Dolls but everyone who's known AG since last year realized it was Gwen's Meet Outfit. Anyways, I love the dress! It's very high quality (like everything at AG is) but I was surprised that it was real eyelet and had a small slip attached to it from underneath. I really like the flip-flops (my first pair!) but the dolls' feet hangs over the edge sometimes. It doesn't bother me that much but I wish they were bigger.

On another note, I'm afraid I will have to cancel Pine Lake Camp. :-'( It's been sooooo hot here (101 F today) and I just can't bring myself outside long enough to take pics for a whole photostory. I will try my hardest to do so but for now, I don't know what will happen......

AGPR Assignment 2

Hey! You might be wondering why I'm posting this if I am supposed to be at camp all week, well I am at camp but this is a scheduled post so it's been posted but yet I'm not here. I love technology.

Anyways, The 3rd assignment for the AGPR was Celebrity Inspiration- hard, yet fun! I wanted to be different so I found this cute pic of Emma Watson in an oh-so-cute dress:

And then I re-created it to be this:

I had a little trouble making it so my mom had to step in and save me. Like when I messed up on one of the sleeves so I decided to re-do it and cut out another one. And well, I must have been half-asleep (even though it was the afternoon) because I accidentally cut out the sleeve out of the front body of the shirt (it was lying around on the floor by the other fabric so I must have mistaken it for the huge piece of fabric which I should have been cutting it out of.)

I am dork.

Sometimes.

LIke the time I just told you about.

And when I told my mom what happened, she just laughed.

I laughed too.

It was something to laugh about.

But, you know, everything turned out all right in the end. :-)

New Items From AG!

Hey! I love AG. It's kind of why I made this blog, but still, I love it even more because now they have:
  • Amazing sales on non-retired and retired items.
  • New Books!!!!!!!
  • And Gwen's Meet Dress for sale- I want it!
Anyways, yes, they have new stuff! I'm very excited because I love more selection! Here it is:

Lanie's Nature Set for $54. WHAT???? $54? That is a lot for how much it includes!!!! OK, I'm sorry for my pricing comments but, you know, it is a lot for that much.... But- it is really cute although I'm not super excited about jeans with rain boots. However, the shirt is still just plain adorable with the little owl!

Kit's Play Scenes and Paper Dolls for $12.95. OK, I'm not going to freak out over this price because at leasts it's reasonable! Anyways it looks adorable!

The Puzzle of the Paper Daughter: A Julie Mystery for $6.95/$10.95. Oh yay! I love a good mystery! And Julie is one of my favorite Characters too!

Doll Parties for $19.95. I really like this book, I really do, but I just think it's kind of odd for a whole dedicated to making paper cakes and paper party things . And please don't get me wrong here, I like it, but it's just kind of weird.

This is only a little bit of the new stuff, go check it out here.

Until Next Time,
Gabby

All of my opinions on pricing and items are mine- please don't get mad, it's what I think. ;-) That is a point of a blog, right? To share opinions?

Awesome New Sale!

Hey! As many of you know, I love sales! And right now AG is having an amazing Spotlight Savings sale. They are selling some high quality clothes for about $4-$5 less and girls clothing for up to $10 less.
American Girl has started this trend where they seem to be selling retired clothing and accessories for cheaper than they were originally. Here are some of my favorites!

The Ruthie Mini Doll! For: $18

Rebecca's Movie Dress! For: $27

Eyelet Sundress for Dolls (really Gwen's Meet Outfit)! For: $20
Snowboard Accessories! For: $26

Oak and Acorn Outfit (even though this is not for "18 dolls, I still think it's so cute)! For: $19

I still think it's funny that AG is selling some of Chrissa's collection, yet she's retired. I just realized that AG hasn't been selling any other GOTY's collection but Chrissa's even though the Snuggly Snow PJ's they have for sale are from 2008- where is Mia's collection?

Oh, well, I thought I might share with you that I am auditioning tomorrow for the a big part in the upcoming production at a local theater. I'm so excited! It's also a paid job so if I get- I could buy some AG and Liberty Jane items- yay!
Speaking of Liberty Jane, they're are having their Summer Design Contest! And I'm entering!
