Happy Halloween!

I just want to be one of the first Bloggers to wish you a Happy Halloween (or Dolloween!). I will have more pix of the dolls in their Halloween costumes but for now, Kirsten is a Greek Goddess, Kaya and Felicity went as each other, and Kaylen is Luna Lovegood.

Also, stay tuned tomorrow for my first Annual Holiday Giveaway!

GOTY 2011 and Giveaway Sneak Peek

Hey everyone! I'm sorry I haven't posted but I have been working on my Holiday Giveaway! I can't tell you what it looks like but it is completed and I have decided to give a sneak peek. First of all I just want to say that half of the outfit was store-bought and the other half was made by me. So look at these photos and check it out!

These are the shoes..... (no I didn't make these! I do not possess that kind of skill)
And here is the bracelet (yes, I made this!)
Anyways, now that you've got your sneak peek, here is some Girl of the Year 2011 news. Judging from her book titles, Aloha, Kanani and Good Job, Kanani, (both were written by Lisa Yee) we can safely bet that she will probably be Hawaiian. But, being the name lover I am, I did some research on her name (Kanani) and I found out this:
So as you can see it is Hawaiian and it is used in Hawaiian speaking countries. For info on the name you visit here.
I think this is really cool that they are creating a Hawaiian doll, which also reminded me of the poll I took last January where I asked what color of eyes, hair, and skin you think the GOTY 2011 would have. Here were my top results:
Wow! We were way off! But I have put the poll back up again so you can vote. Also, I imagine Kanani with the Jess Face Mold, medium skin, black, wavy hair, and brown eyes. What do you think?

Parthenon!

Hey! Yesterday, my class and I went to the Parthenon in downtown Nashville. This is currently the only exact replica to the Parthenon in Ancient Greece. Here are some photos!
(sorry about the lines, those were from the back of the car I was riding in)
I love Ancient Greece. It's my favorite Ancient Civilization! Anyways, it also reminded me of Kirsten's Halloween costume........
Yes, this is the same costume from my Greek Mythology Photostory.
Anyways, here are some more pics of this photoshoot I did with Kirsten.
What do you think? Oh and I almost forgot (but I didn't!), could you pretty please vote for me on Liz's contest? Thanks!

New InnerstarU Games! {and Meet and Greet Times}

Hey everyone! My sister recently informed me this morning that Dance Spectacular was now available on InnerstarU! I check it out this afternoon and it turns out that Game-on can now be played too!

The first game, Dance Spectacular is based on many different kinds of dances. Each level, there is one of 3 dances you must complete before you can reach the next level. There are 3 dances total-
Tap.
Hip-hop (or Modern).
And ball-room.
It's all very weird.
I personally think that the virtual girls are kind of creepy dancing. I mean the kind of stare at the floor and well- you know what I mean.

The next game is Game On. I only made it to level 2 because I tried to take screen shots and I when I did that it sometimes brought me to another site. Which totally screwed me up and made me very unhappy. Anywho, Game On is also a game with activities. As far as I know, there are 2-
The first one is jumping on a trampoline and clicking the symbol when your girl is on it.
The next activity is shooting. The directions are on the screen.
But both games have the option to play with other InnerstarU members.
Except, none of my friends were on..... :-(

But hopefully I will be able to play some games with my friends after the Meet and Greet Saturday and Sunday!

Saturday: I will be standing on the dock of Starfire Boathouse and will be there from 10:15-10:45. Then I will probably go and play some new games with my new friends!

Sunday: I will be standing in front of Brighstar House and will be there from 3:15-3:45. Then I will most likely play some new games with my new friends!

So I hope I can meet you!

PS I may hold a Meet and Greet on the free trial to InnerstarU so people without accounts can still message and friend me.... Let me know what you think of that idea!

Re-Done American Girl Site!

Hey! As it always seems, American Girl never ceases to amaze me (or disgust me) which was why I was horrified at the re-done American Girl site- (when Kayla showed me it) not the design but what was on it.........

Such as this:
TV COMMERCIAL????? REALLY????? That's what Barbies and Liv dolls do- not hundred-dollar-dolls. OK, AG is getting kind of crazy. And the Wish List? Because Microsoft Word is just too easy.....

And now, they seem to plaster everything MAG with doodles:
It just doesn't seem like AG anymore. All they care about is making money- not making little girls happy (with the exception of the AGP workers- they are so nice!)

But AG has also done something that I actually like.
They put Kaya on their Bookstore image! They actually are doing something to promote Historcals and plus, they almost never feature Kaya. ;-)

They also have changed their gift cards up- with 2 new ones! The Birthday Gift Card- doll ad Holiday Gift Card- love are new to the AG website- I have to say they are quite cute.
And last but not least, AGP are now offering another purchase-with-purchase item- a sweater and hat set! Personally I love the hat but the sweater looks very thin and not high quality.

So, what are some of your favorite/non-favorite new AG website features?

PS American Girl is now offering Historical Character Christmas Sets. You can save $10 when you buy this way!

An Interview with a Blogger: Lily!

Hey! How about a nice, fresh post from me to go along with your Sunday morning? Well let's get started then!

I have recently discovered Lily's/Julie's blog and love it! She was my 50th follower and I'm crazy about her photography!
Anyways, I sent Lily the same questionnaire that Claire answered and I'm very excited to share her answers with you!

1. What got you started in blogging?
Well, I have always dreamed about having a blog But there were 2 in particular that I loved (at that time). I Heart American Girl and Crazy for Cali, which really got me started.

2. How many dolls do you have and what are their names?
Well, I only have (at the moment) 2 American Girl Dolls - Kit Kittredge and Julie Albright.

3. When and how did you get your first doll?
I got Kit, my first doll, when I was about eight or nine. We had just moved to Canada and a lot of the girls in my class had AG dolls. I really liked them and the accessories they came with. Then, I went to NYC and who could miss AG Place? So mum took me there and she let me have a doll and I chose Kit!

4. Who is your favorite doll right now?
Right this instant, I guess Kit. Well, she was my first doll, and out of all the dolls in NYC AG place, I chose her, so Kit.

5. If you went to the American Girl Place right now, what would you buy?
If I went to AG place right now (yippee) I would buy a new MAG doll (not sure which one) with some clothing and accessories.

6. Do you like making videos, taking pictures, or writing posts the most? (that rhymed)
Hmm... I love taking photos the most because I like messing around with them and trying new techniques!

7. What are some of your favorite things (besides American Girl)?
Harry Potter. I finished the books in Grade 2. I am utterly obsessed (like one of my friends, who has Daniel Radcliffe's autograph!) with the series. I'm quite the book worm as well, I read a lot. I'm currently reading Number 8 and This Book is not Good for You. I also love photography travelling to new and sometimes even exotic places. And planes. I love planes!

Would you like to be interviewed? Feel free to leave a comment below!
