Cupcake Crazy!

*Before I start this post, I just want to say that my dad said it was fine if I got Felicity! She'll be my last doll*

Hey! I really like Innerstar U. It isn't my favorite thing about AG, but it's pretty fun. One of my favorite games on IU is Cupcake Crazy. You can follow recipes, create cupcakes, and earn points and stars! Here is a step-by-step to the game!
Let's choose Red Velvet...... (there are 25 recipes in all)

Then you choose a color for the batter and mix it in. Mixing is probably the hardest part of the game. Seriously it is.

Then, you click "set" when the arrow is in the hot pink zone.

Then you frost it! Now even tough it's virtual, it looks pretty good.....

Then your decorate it! There are tons of ways to this- you can make a shape, sprinkle candies on to it, or fill in frosting shapes like I did above.

Finished! Well not yet.... Then I go and check the high score list......

Look who's number 1! My girl Adalyn10, but that might have something to do with the fact that I retried a recipe 5 times. It's a long story.

Yay!
What is your favorite Innerstar University Game? What's your favorite American Girl Game?

What it all comes down too.....

Hey! I have a big decision and a big problem to deal with. I really want another doll- which I would but with my own money. But my parents aren't so sure because they're afraid that'll grow out of dolls soon and will regret buying a doll.

But I won't. With the influence of an American Girl Blog and YouTube crowded with tons of American Girl fans, I don't think I could ever grow out of American Girl. Just look at Liz, she is 16 and still loves AG!

I can honestly say that I think my mom understands how I feel about it, and I think she does agree with me about me probably not growing out of dolls. I just have to talk with my dad, which shouldn't be too hard.

I currently have $38 saved up for her, but I don't think I will be ordering her until September or October so I'll probably have enough money buy then and so she doesn't get sold out.
Because, I'm saving up for Felicity.

Why?
Because:

  • She had red hair and green eyes. The exact type of doll I was looking for!
  • She lived in the Revolutionary War- my favorite part in all of History!
  • She has one of the most gorgeous collections of any American Girl doll.
  • She was growing up in the Revolutionary War!!!!! Did I already say that? That is a big reason!!!!
So as you can see I have reasons, and I almost have the money, and I have the care.

What do you think?

Thoughts on Archiving

Hi!

I love American Girl. I do, but it's hard when they archive dolls. I think what it all comes down too is that American Girl isn't perfect. And they make mistakes just like any other company (just take Bratz for example, who really wants a doll named after a snobby type of person?). And I think that a lot of things that they done have been mistakes. For example bringing a virtual world into a high-quality line of dolls. Don't get me wrong, I like InnerstarU but I don't think it was the best thing American Girl made. I think they should've focused on the Historicals, because after all, wasn't that what put the American in American Girl?

And now with Felicity going way, I'm starting to think that maybe American Girl doesn't care about the doll going way itself, but what money will be going into it.

Take for example, Samantha.
She was a doll, a happy doll.
She had a best friend, Nellie.

She even got her own movie!

So she was pretty much set to retire. She had everything any doll could ask for and was one of the Original 3, so it made sense that she was first to retire. I'm not saying that it was good that she was archived, I'm just saying that she was set and had everything.

Now what about Kirsten?

She was happy doll.
But had no best friend.
She had no movie.
But she was one of the original 3, which I guess made it "okay" for her to be archived.

Now look at Felicity. I've decided I want her more than MAG 37, so if I get a doll, I'm getting her.

I don't want her retired, but she again has everything, a movie, a best friend. So why is she getting retired? We may never know, but I do know that every single doll that will every get archived will have a home in our hearts.

Goodbye!

Hey!

Before I start this post, I just want to say that I'm not leaving, just two very special dolls.

Felicity and Elizabeth.

It's official and I'm outraged. WHAT???? Molly and Emily were supposed to go next- they were originals, it's how it works- well at least I though so.

Well, I should know better. American Girl has proven not to be predictable.

Good bye Felicity and Elizabeth, you will always have a place at American Girl, even if you won't be available for sale.

The Powers of 10......

Hey!

This is my math homework. I had to list the powers of 10 and then multiply them. It was easy but it got me thinking about the number 10. I mean it is the year 2010. So I thought Gabby, why on earth haven't you posted about your favorite dolls and what you would name them? You are so behind!! Well maybe it didn't happen like that but it really got me thinking, I love names, so why not tell you what I would name my top ten dolls?
{I just want to say that I do not want or need and of these dolls, I just visited the AGP and I had a lot of fun and went shopping. I don't need anything- this is just a way that you can get to know me better- through the number 10.}

Top Ten Dolls: (most of their names will not start with K)

1. Katrina Elaine Jordan MAG 37
2. Jess Arianna McConnell

3. Felicity Claire Merriman

4. Natalie May Ross  MAG 41

5. Marie Elizabeth Fielder (Emmy for short) MAG 47

6. Julie Whitney Albright
7. Leahanne Harper James MAG 27

8. Nora Sienna Gomez  MAG 29

9. Annie Nicole Williamson   MAG 33

10. Abrielle Jovianne Mallery  MAG 25

Well that is 10 dolls! Which name/doll is your favorite? Number 10's name is French and she would be my French Doll, Jess #2's middle name has been changed from Akiko in the book, and as you all know, if I get another doll- Number 1 is my absolute choice!

So what are your dream dolls? You can submit a pic to our Dream Doll Gallery!'

And to think this all started because of Math Homework.....

Blogger Tips!

Hey! I recently got a comment from a soon-to-be Blogger asking for some tips on blogging. Well here you are!

1. Pictures. In my opinion at least every-other post should have pictures, word art, etc. It makes the post interesting and it adds more too it.

2. Effort. If you are going to start a blog, you need to put a lot into it. Try to post almost every other day and really put time into it. Make sure your blog looks it's best and you have nice posts that anyone can understand.

3. Names....... I love a unique blog name! I think mine is partly unique because I spell out the word "heart" instead of actually putting a heart there. As for my other blog, The Name Princess, I think that is unique as well because of putting Princess with Names- who would've ever thought of that?

4. Have fun with it! Everyone can tell if you really like to blog- giveaway, recent posts, and photos lead to a more happier crowd.

Hope this helps!

Innerstar U Screenshots Again! (giveaway 6 posts below)

Hey! I am starting to really like InnerstarU. Although American Girl is basically copying Webkinz, it's a fun game.

One of my favorite parts of the world is your bedroom and Brightstar House. You can decorate how ever you want at Dream Decor. There are 5 themes and 3 levels to each them. I bought the highest theme in Glam Getaway and I love it! My favorite color is blue so it makes sense.
My Virtual Girl's personality is adventurous. You can decide that when you first create her. They ask you four questions and then after you get a personality trait. Adalyn's personality is Adventurous.

Which is nice when playing games like Dive In! My favorite!
Dive in is a lot of fun and earns you lots of stars! (up to 40 starts per dive). I think that this game is challenging and is one of the best games here.

Or you can play an "educational" game like Help-Desk-Hubbub. This is my least favorite game, but I do like to play it once in a while.

After you've earned some stars from games and projects you can go and spend them!
First you can buy a room with a pet bed and then go and pet-sit!
I'm currently pet sitting Honey!
Then I got my hair done.......
Before:
After:

Then after you've thought you can spend no more. You can just come and look at the virtual view at 5-Point-Plaza.

I hope you liked these screenshots. Also, I'm really sorry but for some reason, InnerstarU won't let me friend others using the "Invited Friend" method. It's says you all don't exist?  So let's try to meet up sometime!
~Gabby

PS, you might be curious to know why the number of stars changes in each photo. I took these screen shots over a period of 2 days!

Innerstar U Campus Guide and world! (GIVEAWAY 5 POSTS BELOW)

Hey! Yes, I got the campus guide! I though this was a very good buy considering that I may not get another doll. (More on that later). But it's so much fun! My user name is Adalyn10 so friend me please!

Anyways, here are some photos with info!
This is the package it comes in! Because I got the InnerstarU outfit, I had a charm....
It's a very big necklace but you can adjust it so it isn't really a problem.
The poster that comes with it. It also folds back into a booklet with you codes.
Now for the screenshots!

This is the first part of the game after you've entered your codes. I chose a reddish blonde girl....

I chose the Virtual Girl with reddish-blonde hair and hazel eyes. She kind of looks like me so I used her! I also added freckles and earrings.

When I got to the world, I immediately played some games to earn points for stars so I could buy things with breaking the bank.

I tried a fun game at U-Shine Hall called Melody Maker. You can choose a instrument, a song, and then you go for it! First you practice the song....
Then you can perform it!

You can also create a cupcake at the U-Rah-Rah Spirit Center.

It's a very fun game! I don't like how AG is drawing girls to the internet but it's cool game if you just want to take a break from something or if you have nothing to do.
I haven't spent any of my money yet just because I want to save it first, but when I do I will take some screen shots of it!

I'd love to meet up sometime! Comment or E-mail me your use name and we can meet up and become friends!

Thoughts

Hey!
This post will be full of thoughts. I'm sure you've figured that out but I've never done one of these posts so I guess now I will.....

I ordered something from American Girl. And I've made myself promise that this will be the last thing I order from AG until Christmas. Because I've gotten all this new stuff and I just think I need sometime to use it. You're free to guess whatever I got from AG. It's supposed to arrive either Wed. or Thurs.

Alexis from From a Doll's Point of View requested me to make a video of how to do a braid like the one Kaylen has in the Summer Photoshoot. I will definitely make it after I've finished making my music video.

Oops.

I was going to have that be a surprise.

But now it's not.

But that's okay.

Now I can brag about how great it is!!!

Haha Just Kidding- I'm not even done. It's all stop-motion and it takes a lot of work and I only have 184 seconds to go.

Wow.

Until Next Time,
Gabby
