Thank You So Much! {contest 2 posts below}
This post is dedicated to all my followers and reader. I love you guys!
About a year ago, I had found Liz's website and was inspired by it. She had gorgeous dolls and loved to care for them and share with other girls- which got me thinking, why not start a blog on my own? My mom had a blogspot.com blog and really enjoyed reading it, so later that week, we started this blog- I Heart American Girl. Back then, it was just my doll Kirsten and my sister's doll Elizabeth, making photostories with our friends and doing polls and writing the latest AG news. I can still look back on my posts and think how different things are. But I still remember my first 3 followers- Mom, Quinlyn, and Queen Lucy. Thank you so much! I remembered how happy I was when I learned of following and I realized I had followers! It made me want to try harder!
So I began taking photos:

So I began taking photos:
They weren't very good, but I tried.
And soon I learned about color. And light.
And it looked great!
But then I found black & white. And macro. And I loved it!!! And by your feedback so did you. But you guys never cease to amaze. Ya'll left me the sweetest comments!
But I tried more..........
And then I added one more to my family.
But it was you guys who kept me through it. You guys are the only ones who I can turn to to talk about AG, nobody at my school likes it as much as I do.
And one day, I stumbled across a GOTYs video telling us to look up our YouTube usernames to make sure no one was making money off of our videos. And the result was sooo sweet.
I found this Facebook page. I love you guys!!!! You never took credit for my video and blog, you only gave me compliments.
And then I got this e-mail from a girl:
I'm not going to say who she is (incase she wants to remain anonymous), but she is has an amazing blog, and I wish her the best of luck. And then I got this comment,
I love you all! I seriously am about to cry right now. You all have been so sweet and kind and never cease to amaze me. I love you all and I hope this blog remains for years to come.

From a Doll's Perspective
Hey! I recently got a comment from a reader that asked this- "Why did you stop From a Doll's Perspective?" So I decided to answer- as well as all the others out there who were wondering.
I enjoyed having a doll's blog- I really did, but it was hard upkeep. Many, of you non-bloggers may be like, 'WHAT? UPKEEP? It's BLOGGING!'. But blogging really is an art. It takes time to plan, write, edit, and add pictures to a post. I have to make sure what I post about is understandable and anyone can relate to it. Not just some crazy rants thought up by a middle-schooler.
Anyways, it was fun, designing, editing, and 'helping' my dolls create it, but it was hard to jumble one American Girl blog and my doll's blog without having to take time out from my day. And some how, whenever I posted on that blog, I felt like I was taking time away from IHAG. And I don't want my blogging friends to choose one blog over the other to read. So I stopped because it was too much work and most of the time, I posted about stuff that I already posted here on IHAG.
But now you're probably like, 'you have a NAME BLOG and you can't post on FADP?' To answer that question- yes. When I post about names, it completely different from AG. I have millions of topics to choose from and I can pick and write- and it's that same with IHAG. But with FADP, those topics were cut short because of this blog. I could either post many times a week on here, or just post 1 or 2 times a week on both blogs because I had to find a different topic.
I hope you understand, but if you really want FADP back, I will gladly post on it however it may only be about once a week.

50 followers please?
Hey everyone! So as you all know (or don't know), next month is my one year blog-anniversary! What I would really like is if I could have 50 followers by October 8th. I'm not forcing you to follow, I'm not saying this is a life or death decision, I just want you to follow only if you actually read and like my blog. Please don't follow to sell a product (except for those lovely hand-made doll clothes sellers). So thanks and I would really like 50 followers!
Also, what do you think would be a good post for a one year celebration? A giveaway, contest, photostory?
Your opinion (and following :D) is greatly appreciated!

New Bios, New Look, New Doll! {198th Post!}
Hey! Don't you love it when I put 'new' in my title! Well, I don't know about you- but I love it! So to celebrate 198 posts, my new girly, and this fabulous new look- I decided why not have a photo shoot?
Here are my best shots and some of them have been put into the doll's profiles (bios). Look away!

So which one did you like the best? I love Felicity!! She is gorgeous and I'm glad I picked her to be my last doll!

PS You may be wondering why I'm celebrating an 198th post. I'm asking myself that question too. But, who cares! I would like to celebrate this day because, I think I have successfully memorized all my lines, got forgiven by a friend, and got my 3rd AG doll!

Luna Lovegood or Kaylen Frost?
Hi!
I. Love. Harry. Potter.
Just as some people like Diet Coke or Cameron Diaz, I have obsessions too. Like American Girl and pasta. But I have another one too- it's called
Harry Potter.
I'm currently reading the series for the 4th time, I've found that they never get old. And I've found many characters that I like, such as Harry Potter, Bill Weasley, Hermione Granger, and of course, Luna Lovegood. I mean who can forget her? Luna is an eccentric witch with a passion for all things out of the ordinary. Such as nargles, but I'm not going to discuss that now. Anyways, Luna is played by the ever charming Evanna Lynch.
But, I did notice that Luna looks particularly like my Madame Alexander doll, Kaylen Frost. So I thought, 'why not? Let's make her look like Luna!'
So I did.
Here are the results:
{Oh, and if the Crazy Doll Lady is reading this, I just want you to know that I love these shoes!!!}
I tried to put Kaylen in an outfit that was kind of out of the ordinary. I hope you enjoy these! Which one was your favorite?
~Gabby
PS I do not own the photos of Evanna Lynch.
